Trump’s Long (and Growing) List of Bigoted Comments and Actions

The Committees of Correspondence understands there are a variety of reasons why people voted for Donald Trump.  What is undeniable is that the President-elect is openly bigoted in a way most people had not thought possible in the most powerful elected official in the nation. 

In the last century, we made genuine progress in becoming a country that treats all people with respect in our laws and in our political dialogue.  We cannot allow this century to be the one where it becomes normal for our political leaders to attack people for their religion, race, gender, disability, or sexual orientation.

The Committees has compiled a list below of Donald Trump’s racist, bigoted, and sexist comments and actions to show why our work is so necessary to ensure this type of bigotry does not permanently poison our political discourse.
